Maintenance Technician

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Cartersville, GA facility. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Hours may occasionally vary depending on production schedules and business needs.

Summary of the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of our industrial equipment. You’ll play a key part in ensuring minimal downtime and high equipment reliability while maintaining compliance with food safety and GMP standards. The ideal candidate will support preventative maintenance, minimize downtime, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within a fast-paced production setting.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records using SAP
• Quickly evaluate and repair equipment failures
• Initiate improvements and reduce equipment downtime
• Support new equipment commissioning and plant modifications
• Ensure efficient communications are provided to peers and managers
• Recommend and implement reliability improvements and preventative measures

Your Profile:

• 3 – 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
• Demonstrated knowledge with motor control systems including 24VDC circuits and devices, and 120V, and 480V systems
• Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and conveyor systems
• Proficient in using basic hand and shop tools, with the ability to replace chains, sprockets, and bearings
• Understanding of building systems and control technologies
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment: frequently required to sit, occasionally climb or kneel, and lift up to 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Completed maintenance apprenticeship program (preferred)
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment (preferred)
• Associate’s degree in Industrial Systems Technology or a related field is a plus
