This position is based at our headquarters in Darmstadt (on-site).

 

 

Your Role

  • Global implementation of the Truck Transportation Sourcing Operating Strategy (Ambient, Thermo, Dangerous Goods, Tankcar)
  • Alignment of the strategy with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Analysis and evaluation of suppliers based on quality, cost, and global standardization
  • Management of truck tenders, handling of spot requests, and assessment of sourcing opportunities
  • Tracking of price trends, adjustment of procurement strategies, and negotiation of contracts
  • Monitoring of fuel surcharges and assurance of compliance with quality, governance, and sustainability standards
  • Market observation to identify optimal purchasing timing and exploration of outsourcing opportunities
  • Contract administration and maintenance of strong engagement with stakeholders
  • Conducting of performance reviews with preferred suppliers

 

Your Profile

  • Completed studies in Business Administration, Logistics, or an equivalent field
  • Several years of professional experience in purchasing, preferably in logistics (especially Truck Transportation), ideally in the food or a related industry
  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA, TMS (Transportation Management Systems), MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), and tendering tools
  • Independent, structured working approach and solution-oriented mindset
  • Hands-on mentality and strength in practical problem-solving
  • Strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, relationship management, and adaptability
  • Tech-savvy and process-oriented working style; enjoyment of collaborative teamwork
  • Proficiency in German and English (written and spoken)
