Your Role

  • Development and implementation of a global sourcing strategy for food ingredients and food additives from the raw material area botanicals (spices, herbs, plant extracts) in coordination with the lead buyer
  • Observation of the raw material market as well as evaluation of market information with the aim of determining the right time to buy
  • Maintaining information on relevant price trends and developments in the procurement markets and, if necessary, adjusting purchasing concepts and measures in cooperation/exchange with the lead buyer and the business unit
  • Analyze and evaluate current and potential suppliers, taking into account internal requirements in terms of performance, quality and cost
  • Independently conducting supplier meetings as well as negotiating and concluding purchasing contracts
  • Carrying out administration and documentation of transactions in SAP (for example, creating contracts and raw material samples; continuous maintenance of raw material price updates)
  • Processing customer complaints
  • Maintenance of supplier and material master data

 

Your Profile

  • Strong analytical thinking skills, negotiation skills, Determination and assertiveness
  • Ability to work in a team and a high degree of initiative
  • Ideally, first professional experience in purchasing, ideally in the chemical or food industry
  • Successfully completed scientific and/or business studies or comparable commercial training with initial work experience
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
