Your Role

• Within Research & Development, you are an expert in new product development in the field of food colors.
• You are responsible for developing and optimizing processes for the production and formulation of coloring products such as dye blends, color emulsions, and coloring concentrates in liquid and powder form — all with the best possible characteristics in terms of stability, color intensity, and handling.
• One of your main tasks is to carry out and lead innovation and customer projects, which are initiated based on analysis and evaluation of the raw materials market, current technology trends, or subject-specific literature research.
• You assess new color formulations regarding their physical, chemical, and coloring properties using spectrophotometric and other analytical methods, and you translate the results into specification recommendations.
• You are responsible for raw material intake and the management of the raw material and semi-finished goods portfolio, with the goal of reducing and eliminating obsolete raw materials and harmonizing them globally to ensure a cost-effective and value-creating raw material portfolio.
• You develop application recommendations for the use of various color formulations in our B2B and customized B2C products.
• Cross-plant coordination and communication with departments such as Product Management, Production, and Quality Assurance are essential parts of your role.
• You provide technical support for scaling up processes from lab and pilot scale to industrial production.

Your Profile

• You have successfully completed your studies in food technology, food chemistry, or a comparable field.
• You have already gained initial professional experience in the field of natural colors or are looking to transition from an independent research institution to the industry. Initial experience in the fields of personal care or pet food is also an advantage.
• You combine a strong sense of customer needs and market trends with a high level of analytical and conceptual skills.
• You are a driver of innovative raw material solutions and approach the creative possibilities within your development scope with a proactive and inventive attitude.
• Your colleagues appreciate your reliable and independent working style.
• Thanks to your open and communicative manner, you quickly succeed in building a professional, cross-functional network.
• You are fluent in English, German is a plus.
