This position is based at our headquarters in Darmstadt (on-site).
This role combines reliability engineering expertise with regular plant interaction and hands-on support, ensuring that identified improvement opportunities are translated into practical, sustainable results in daily maintenance operations.
Your Role
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Global Asset Management Excellence Program across all production sites
- Lead and support reliability engineering activities, including RCA, failure analysis, FMEA, criticality assessments, PM optimization and loss elimination, in a pragmatic, plant-focused approach
- Identify, document, and transfer proven reliability improvements, lessons learned and maintenance best practices across the production network
- Provide hands-on support to plants in improving asset reliability, reducing failures and strengthening maintenance execution
- Take ownership of specific plant-level improvement assignments, supporting selected plants from gap identification through to implementation of agreed actions
- Support maintenance readiness for new equipment, projects and plant launches, including asset structure, PM plans, spare parts strategies, documentation and training needs
- Support capability building by training plant teams in practical reliability methods, structured problem solving, Group standards and maintenance excellence practices
- Promote a strong safety and reliability culture by ensuring that technical decisions, maintenance activities and improvement actions support safe, compliant and reliable plant operations
Your Profile
- Master’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, preferably Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
- Several years of professional experience in industrial maintenance and/or reliability engineering within a manufacturing environment
- Strong interest in practical reliability engineering, with a solid understanding of equipment failures, asset degradation, maintenance strategies and reliability concepts
- Experience with reliability methods such as RCA, failure analysis, FMEA, criticality assessments, PM optimization and loss elimination
- Experience with CMMS/EAM systems, preferably SAP EAM and a good understanding of their practical application in maintenance operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use maintenance data, failure history, KPIs and plant observations to define practical improvement actions
- Practical, curious and initiative-driven mindset, with the ability to work closely with plant teams, engineering leaders, technicians and international stakeholders
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are an advantage
- Willingness to travel regularly to production sites and provide hands-on support where needed
- Certifications in reliability engineering, operational excellence, project management or asset management are an advantage
