Your Role

  • Manage and further develop the European product portfolio of Compounds for Beverage Applications, with a strong focus on profitable growth, customer value and portfolio effectiveness.
  • Own the EUR portfolio and ensure a clear, relevant and competitive assortment for the European markets, including portfolio clean-up and the removal or inactivation of non-relevant articles.
  • Drive the lifecycle management of the European portfolio, including phase-in, reactivation, inactivation, portfolio harmonization and the management of red positions
  • Improve service levels and portfolio availability by identifying and implementing measures related to shelf life, order bundling, packaging consolidation, minimum order quantities, filling sizes and supply chain efficiency.
  • Define and execute a European product roadmap in alignment with the Team Leader Product Management and the relevant business, sales, application, supply chain, pricing and R&D stakeholders.
  • Increase awareness and utilization of the European assortment through targeted portfolio communication and internal roll-out campaigns
  • Monitor competitors, customer needs, market developments and portfolio performance to identify opportunities for innovation, assortment extensions and product optimization.
  • Actively participate in customer meetings, customer projects and sales briefings to provide product and market expertise and to translate customer feedback into portfolio actions.
  • Organize sales workshops and continuous feedback rounds with the European commercial and application organizations.
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date portfolio information across all relevant communication channels, including product portfolio displays and internal enablement materials.
  • Develop and deliver product trainings to strengthen the understanding of the European portfolio, its applications, differentiation and positioning.

Your Profile

  • Successful track record in product management, portfolio management, business development or a comparable commercial/technical role in the food and beverage industry, ideally in a B2B environment.
  • Experience managing products or portfolios across several European markets, preferably in an international matrix organization.
  • Degree in food technology, general business administration, biotechnology or a comparable qualification.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement product roadmaps, portfolio strategies and lifecycle management measures.
  • Strong understanding of product portfolio management, including assortment optimization, product phase-in/phase-out, pricing, supply chain interfaces and commercial execution.
  • Strong customer mindset with the ability to engage directly and credibly with customers, sales teams and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience translating customer and market insights into concrete portfolio, innovation and business development initiatives.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives across countries and functions.
  • Hands-on mentality and entrepreneurial thinking, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, manage change and set priorities in a dynamic European business environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly in an international and cross-functional matrix organization.
  • Willingness to travel within Europe approximately 10% of the working time, including customer meetings, sales workshops and visits to relevant Döhler locations.
  • Fluent English and German are required. Additional European languages are highly beneficial.
