The Role
- Drive innovation in the field of Taste Delivery Systems, focusing on cutting-edge encapsulation technologies for liquid and dry systems
- Standardize and harmonize our systems portfolio using natural solutions, leveraging advanced analytical methodologies, predictive modeling, and strategic formulation templates.
- Guide global scale-up processes from lab scale to production, ensuring the seamless industrial realization of complex ingredient systems.
- Collaborate actively within interdisciplinary teams on global innovation projects across various physical and processing technologies.
- Partner closely with flavorists, application, and Business Unit teams to holistically optimize product properties, with a strong focus on taste performance, industrial usability, and long-term shelf-life stability.
The Profile
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Material Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, or a related natural science discipline with a strong focus on soft matter, colloid science, or interfacial properties.
- Ideally 2+ years of professional experience within the Flavor & Fragrance (F&F), food ingredients, or consumer goods (FMCG) industry.
- A deep understanding of physical chemistry and material interactions, paired with profound, hands-on knowledge in at least two of the following areas: emulsion technology, encapsulation, spray drying, biopolymers (e.g., hydrocolloids, Gum Arabic), or particle engineering.
- Passion for food science, sensory innovation, and structure-function relationships, combined with a strong drive to innovate.
- An entrepreneurial, hands-on mentality, excellent problem-solving skills, and a highly collaborative team orientation.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and German (written and spoken).
