Expectations and Accountability of Job

Manage all customs-related activities within the plant, including documentation, compliance, and trade regulations, to facilitate the efficient and compliant movement of goods across borders.

Responsibilities / Tasks:

  • Lead and coordinate the customs and compliance team, ensuring accurate and timely customs documentation and procedures.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of customs declarations and import/export documentation for shipments within the plant.
  • Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and trade laws to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with customs brokers, authorities, and government agencies to facilitate smooth customs clearance.
  • Resolve customs-related issues and discrepancies, such as tariff classification or valuation disputes.
  • Verify customs documentation to minimize errors and ensure compliance.
  • Manage customs duties, taxes, and fees to minimize costs.
  • Support Implementation of technology solutions for efficient customs documentation and reporting.
  • Continuously analyze customs data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the plant.
  • Manage the relation between Doehler Egypt and Egyptian Customs Authorities (including NFSA and Nafeza).
  • Solid understanding of Egyptian Customs Tariff and HS Codes for food ingredients
  • must ensure goods are cleared within the free time. Any demurrage incurred due to lack of follow-up, delayed documentation submission, or internal process failure will be attributed to the Team Lead's oversight.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in Import, Customs clearance
  • SAP experience is a must
  • Preferably Food Manufacturing background
  • Excellent command of English
  • Strong communication and Leadership skills
  • ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Head of Logistics & Warehouse

 

Number of Subordinates:

  • 2 Logistics Specialist
  • 2 Customs clearance


Working Hours

08:00 am to 04:00 pm (Sunday to Thursday).
