The Product Development Intern will support hands-on food product development activities while leading a focused internship project centered on sugar reduction in ice cream. This role offers exposure to formulation, experimentation, sensory and texture optimization, and cross-functional collaboration, with direct impact on customer-facing solutions.
Sugar Reduction in Ice Cream Using Doehler Ingredients
· Investigate sugar reduction strategies in ice cream and evaluate the potential contributions of Doehler ingredients as sugar substitutes.
· Develop and optimize ice cream formulations with reduced sugar while maintaining desirable sensory attributes and texture.
· Assess formulation performance through experimentation, data collection, and sensory/texture evaluation.
· Summarize findings and recommendations in a comprehensive technical report and final presentation.

· Provide hands-on support for product development activities.
· Prepare samples and ingredients for trials and evaluations.
· Run experiments and assist with formulation testing.

Your Profile
· Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field.
· Demonstrates curiosity, initiative, and enthusiasm for learning.
· Approaches tasks and problem-solving with precision and a methodical mindset, ensuring consistently high-quality work.
· Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· Able to take direction while also working independently when needed.
