Summary/Objective

The QA Coordinator is responsible for updating and maintaining the supplier verification program, completing customer questionnaires and surveys, and assisting in creating, updating, and cataloging all procedures and SOP’s. This position work closely with the sales department, vendors, suppliers and our customers to ensure a safe and wholesome food product

  1. Administer and provide direct support to the supplier verification program (documents upload, registration), in line with policies, procedures and guidelines, food safety and regulatory requirements
  2. Compile and research internal and external documents and information and collaborate with other departments to complete and submit customer surveys, questionnaires, and document requests.
  3. Validate and maintain internal document control system
  4. Assist QA Manager in preparation for external audits by compiling and organizing internal and external documents/information.
  5. It is the responsibility of each employee to uphold and support all food safety rules, regulations, and requirements. We consider food safety a core value that ensures a safe and wholesome food product
  6. Any other tasks assigned by Management in order to assist in meeting company objectives.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally exposed to wet, warm, humid and cold temperatures.

 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand, talk, and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days can vary depending on production schedule.

Required Qualifiications

  1. Knowledge of computer data base systems, MS Office Suite
  2. HS diploma and 2-4 years of qualifty control experience or equivalent degree 

 

Preferred Qualifiications

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or equivalent role and experience in food manufacturing environment
