Do you want to source the best fruits and vegetables? We are sourcing the best raw material by partnering with our growers and to utilize their expertise and working together in every step of the way. 

As a buyer at SVZ you are responsible to ensure availability of our raw materials that meet our production requirements and contribute to the development of the Procurement department. You will be in close contact with Procurement at HQ in the Netherlands, Supply Chain, QA, Sustainability and Plant Operations. You will report to the Head of Sourcing in the Netherlands.

• You are responsible for the purchasing of our raw materials, fruits and vegetables;
• For that you are in close contact with the growers, expanding and maintaining this relationship on a day to day basis;
• You formulate and present procurement strategies, buying opportunities & directions in line with the procurement objectives;
• You provide market insights regarding quantitative and qualitative developments such as prices of raw materials, market conditions, harvest developments by means of periodical and ad hoc reports and/or analyses of both results and (buying) process indicators;
• You coordinate, execute, maintain and/or improve procurement administrative processes and systems.

What do you bring with you?

A Bachelor degree in food technology, agriculture or economics and/or 4- 6 years commercial experience in B2B in the food industry, preferably in the fruit and vegetables. You have good technical knowledge in agro-supply and raw material. A good command of spoken and written Spanish and English language and strong negotiation skills. Furthermore you have a can-do-mentality, hands on and excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with growers, manufacturers and internal organization.
