JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The Flavors Technician works as a key member of the production team, tasked with precisely scaling and blending dry and liquid ingredients, flavors, and partial quantities. Their duties also include ensuring proper inventory control, organizing materials, and overseeing prep and job staging inventory control, as well as managing WIP and raw materials necessary for bulk production. They are committed to maintaining a safe and clean workspace at all times.
Essential Functions

- Pre scale all raw materials using FIFO.
- Responsible for raw materials storage and staging.
- Processing released orders in SAP for production processing by required date.
- Processing CRTD orders is SAP for pre-staging.
- Return all unused materials to proper storage locations (ambient/refrigerated).
- Pre scale raw materials using scales and different utensils.
- Ensure raw materials and flavors are maintained in production staging area 48 hours in advance of schedule.
- Manage time with excellence with the ability to prioritize workload.
- Process samples orders for R&D.
- Send out daily recap reports.
- Maintain clean and organized area - 5s maintained daily.
- Operates production machines by means of automatic/manual controls, and adjusts production equipment to product-specific parameters according to the daily production plan and the observance of time parameters.
- Processes raw and semi-finished products according to the recipe, manufacturing and operating instructions for all departments.
- Takes samples and conducts quality controls, forwarding the results to Quality as needed.
- Fills finished products into appropriate packaging.
- Records all data as required (i.e. charts, necessary process adjustments based on data findings, etc.).
- Adheres to GMPs within appropriate zones.
- Performs general sanitation duties.
- Assists in other areas of production as needed.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally exposed to wet, warm, humidity and cold temperatures.

The employee is frequently required to sit; occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work depends on production needs and customer orders.

Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Forklift Experience
- 2+ years’ experience in production, scaling, and/or flavor production
- Comfortable using mask or respirator for flavoring or chemical products
- 1+ years’ experience with SAP
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Able to handle drums of up to 600 pounds and carry bags of up to 80 pounds
