Summary/Objective
The Global Account Director’s primary role is to profitably grow the business with Doehler’s largest potential and most important customers. The Global Account Director will lead a team to develop the business for the entire range of company’s products and services.
The Global Account Director (with support of various stakeholders) will develop and execute the account strategy building on clear and building insight of the customers’ needs and Doehler’s capabilities.

- Build a strong insight into the direction, needs and opportunities within the assigned customer base.
- Establish and develop an effective multifunctional and global team (Direct and indirect reports) and to professionally manage this team to be high performing, aligned in approach, motivated and creative in its ways of working.
- Develop and continually improve the Account Development plan for the customer (3 year horizon). To use this plan to drive the priorities of the team and gain buy in from other functions and regions.
- Build a pipeline of business opportunities with the clients and as a team transform these opportunities into real and sustainable business .
- Help build the capabilities of Doehler by working to develop and implement new product launches and sales initiatives. To be an excellent communicator both internally and externally.
- Support assigned customers in the best possible way by establishing professional relationship management with the respective decision-makers.
- Proactively and continuously evaluate, coordinate, and validate customer requirements in order to enhance customer loyalty and increase customer value. To communicate customer potential and demand forecasts continually to enable best service and opportunity management.
- Managing the pricing and commercial negotiations to gain the best sustainable advantage for Doehler- sustainable and profitable business.
- Driving a digital transformation in ways of working both internally and with the client. Encourage procedural and organizational optimizations and implement the corresponding measures in consultation with the line manager.
- Ensure that complaints are processed in accordance with the requirements.
Supervisory Responsibility
Many virtual team members (sales and other functions such as application) sometimes some direct reports who may be located in various different countries.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with regular office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours may vary on occasion depending on work load.
Travel
Minimum 20% and Maximum 70-80%
Required Qualifications
- College degree in an applicable field such as Food Science, Business Administration, Marketing, etc.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the food and beverage industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP and various digital tools experience is an advantage.
