JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective 

The Senior Engineering Manager is responsible for engineering and maintenance activities in North America for Masterplan Expansion of our Cartersville, GA site.
 

Essential Functions

1.    Creation and execution of capital projects for process improvements or new installations including all phases of design, construction, commissioning, and maintenance.
2.    Propose new equipment or technologies for the optimization of production processes, compliance with Döhler environmental targets, or generation of utility services.
3.    Effective budget development and control, including management of the procurement process, for approved projects.
4.    Development and coordination of engineering studies in all disciplines such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Auxiliary Services, Fire protection system, etc.
5.    Management of procedures and policies to maintain compliance with all local and federal regulations. 
6.    Lead and manage the maintenance of plant equipment and utility services.
7.    Communicate effectively to all stakeholders.
8.    Oversee masterplan project Cartersville and all building related topics including permitting, cost, structure, design and completion topics.
9.    Ensure that in-house and statutory specifications and guidelines on hygiene, HACCP, food safety, occupational safety and environmental protection are implemented in subordinate organizational units. 


Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally exposed to wet, warm, humid and cold temperatures.

The employee is frequently required to sit; occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days can vary depending on production schedule. 
 

Travel
Less than 25%
 

Required Qualifications 
1.    Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) from an accredited university in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
2.    At least 10 years of professional experience, five years of which includes supervisory responsibility in a manufacturing environment.
3.    Significant successful experience leading large (greater than $25 million) capital projects. 
4.    Demonstrated success leading factory maintenance departments.
5.    Experience with SAP, CAD, and MS Office software systems.
6.    Experience in a flavor, food and beverage, or specialty chemical manufacturing factory is preferred.
