JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective 

The Inventory Control employee is an essential position in implementing and monitoring procedures to ensure that the proper inventory is correct in all warehouse locations. This position will assist management in the development and implementation of a formal program to audit all areas related to inventory movement for integrity and accuracy. This individual will lead the cycle counts in a program to identify and eliminate any problems found in daily cycle counts. 
 

Essential Functions

1.    Develop, implement and monitor all key functions related to inventory transactions to assure that they are accurate and timely. 
2.    Coordinate a cycle count program in a perpetual inventory environment.
3.    Coordinate the cycle count progress and results to identify necessary recounts and processes to be monitored and provide regular reports on the results.
4.    Perform thorough research and document inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and supply possible solutions. 
5.    Work with key personnel to effectively implement process improvements to operational procedures in an effort to proactively optimize overall location and item level accuracy. 
6.    Coordinate the efforts of the cycle counts in an effort to identify and correct discrepancies on items at the location level as needed.
7.    Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products to supervision and publish weekly and quarterly inventory metrics.
8.    Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
9.    Maintain neat, clean and orderly warehouse appearance.
10.    Ability to work extended hours/over-time as needed including Saturdays.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is  occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally exposed to wet, warm, humid and cold temperatures.
 

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee is frequently required to sit; occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days can vary depending on workload.

Required Qualifications 
1.    High School diploma or equivalent
2.    2+ years’ experience in warehousing
3.    1+ years’ experience with SAP
4.    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
