JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing employees, processes and systems related to inventory, order building and loading of products for distribution.

 

Essential Functions

  1. Manages Supervisor of Warehouse employees. This includes hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  2. Focuses on the productivity, process and quality of warehouse operations.
  3. Reduces controllable expenses.
  4. Improves cost productivity, outbound shipment quality and process improvement.
  5. Leads and assists in daily operations, which could include but are not limited to developing training plans, performance feedback, project implementation, continuous process improvement, customer and supplier quality, and communication with internal business leadership and employees.
  6. Ensure full utilization of SAP within daily warehouse task with all employees
  7. Maintain accurate storage and quality of all inventory within SAP and physical locations
  8. Motivates, organizes, and encourages teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met.
  9. Exhibits strong commitment to the service needs of the internal/external customer, while representing the Company in a professional and courteous manner.
  10. Communicates effectively with other departments regarding inventory and/or delivery issues.
  11. Maintains a clean and safe work environment.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is  occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally exposed to wet, warm, humid and cold temperatures.

 

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee is frequently required to sit; occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days can vary depending on production schedule.

 

Travel
Less than 10%

 

Required Qualifications

  1. Associate's degree in related field or 5+ years plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  2. Food & beverage industry experience
  3. SAP experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree
