JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective 

The Pricing Analyst is responsible for optimizing results for individual product groups by implementing intelligent pricing concepts.

 

Essential Functions

  1. Define and implement the pricing subdivision strategy.
  2. Perform bottoms up pricing by analyzing each cost contributing to pricing strategy.
  3. Manage prioritization of price requests to ensure customer needs are met.
  4. Implement suitable price measures and calculations, taking changing internal costs into consideration.
  5. Conduct price analyses compared to market or customer benchmarks, and develop lines of argumentation to support sales.
  6. Advise and support market functions through business partnering and training sessions.
  7. Gain knowledge of Döhler product offerings and core competencies.
  8. Partner in development of cost expectations for new production site capabilities.
  9. Promote continuous standardization and optimization of processes and organizational structures, and implement corresponding measures in consultation with the Commercial Controller.
  10. Implement and ensure efficient and effective processes within the company’s IT systems, and assist in their documentation.
  11. Work cross functionally to deliver competitive market pricing. 
  12. Support Sales and Accounting on results reporting and variance analysis. 
  13. Adapt to customer specific requests including: collaborating on new product development and presentation of data format.

Work Environment

This role is located in Princeton, NJ and operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with regular office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Hours may vary on occasion depending on work load.

 

Travel

Less than 10%

 

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related degree
  2. 2+years’ experience in Accounting/Finance

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  1. 2+ years’ experience working for production/manufacturing company
  2. SAP experience
