JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The Product Manager is responsible for Identifying market trends and holding holistic responsibility for the respective product groups, taking the business unit strategy into account.
Essential Functions
- Adhering to the approved budget and introducing suitable measures to counteract potential and actual deviations in consultation with the line manager.
- Stimulating continuous standardization and optimization of processes and organizational structures and implementing corresponding measures in consultation with the line manager.
- Ensuring an optimum exchange of information within the division and with the interfaces.
- Documenting efficient and effective processes in the company's internal IT systems.
- Developing and implementing an innovative, competitive and economically sustainable product range and a corresponding portfolio strategy for the product groups in the field of responsibility on the basis of the business unit strategy.
- Creating and holding product presentations at customer workshops in collaboration with Sales.
- Market and competition analysis concerning ingredients and concepts relevant to specific product groups.
- Monitoring revenue development and sales activities of the products in the field of responsibility in accordance with defined performance indicators (turnover, sales, market share etc.) and developing and conducting measures for improving the revenue situation in collaboration with Sales.
- Providing support in defining the pricing strategy for selected product groups in consultation with Pricing and, if necessary, Sales.
- Compiling production information in collaboration with R&I and Global Food Safety & Regulatory Affairs and communicating it in in-house training sessions.
- Operative management of innovation projects in collaboration with Innovation Management, R&D and Sales.
- Preparing and conducting trade fair appearances in collaboration with Corporate Marketing.
- Managing selected target accounts and customer projects, including relationship management in consultation with Sales.
- Providing support in the development and implementation of business development strategies for expanding the market share.
- Optimal and consequent usage of the digital systems and initiation of optimizations for a penetrating digitization of the business processes
- Develop and implement a vibrant, innovative and economically sustainable B2B product portfolio with a corresponding portfolio strategy and clear positioning (USP) for the product group in area of resp. based on the business unit strategy

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally exposed to wet, warm, humid and cold temperatures.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with regular office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours may vary on occasion depending on work load. This role is located onsite in either Cartersville, GA or Princeton, NJ

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry or other related work experience/education combination
- 2-5 years’ professional experience in food and/or dairy
