Summary/Objective
The overall responsibility of a Team Lead in Plant Logistics with a focus on transport management is to coordinate, supervise, and optimize transportation activities, ensuring the efficient movement of materials and products within the plant's logistics operations. Overall role takes over for plants 4600, 5800 and 7400. This position will also expand to cover SVZ integration and ongoing business in Q2 2025.

- Implement the divisional strategy within the area of responsibility.
- Building and developing a qualified and motivated team. Technical and disciplinary leadership, assessment and development of directly subordinate employees. Decide on individual personnel measures in coordination with HR.
- Implement and ensure optimal information exchange in the area of responsibility and with the interfaces.
- Continuously standardising and optimising processes and organisational structures and initiating corresponding measures.
- Contributing ideas and implementing the digital transformation in the area of responsibility. Coordinating and implementing digitization projects in cooperation with the interfaces. Optimizing and mapping new and existing business processes in the digital databases and systems.
- Plan human, material and financial resources. Adherence to the approved budget and initiation of appropriate measures in the event of threatened and identified deviations in coordination with the manager.
- Review and comply with legal requirements and internal regulations, initiate appropriate action.
- Implementing and ensuring efficient and effective processes in the company's internal IT systems and their documentation.
- Lead and coordinate the transportation management team, assigning tasks and responsibilities to team members
- Plan and optimize transportation routes to ensure efficient and cost-effective movement of goods within the plant
- Communicate and negotiate with carriers, suppliers, and logistics partners to secure transportation services
- Monitor and manage transportation budgets and expenses to ensure cost control and efficiency
- Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time delivery and address any issues or delays
- Handle and resolve transportation-related issues and emergencies within the plants
- Implement and enforce transportation safety protocols and compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to align transportation strategies with plant and corporate objectives
- Continuously analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions
- Implement technology solutions and systems for enhanced transportation management and visibility within the plant

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with regular office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours may vary on occasion depending on work load.

Required Qualifications
- Successfully completed Bachelors in combination with five (5) years of professional experience in transportation and logistics
- Ability to coordinate transportation activities and teams effectively
- Accuracy and attention to detail

- Experience in personnel management
- Relevant experience in logistics and transport operations
