Summary/Objective
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for providing first-class service and support to a defined customer base, as well as internal team members as it relates to the overall customer satisfaction goal. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines related to the handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials. They must have a strong understanding of the classification, labeling, packaging, and documentation requirements for dangerous goods.
Essential Functions

1. Prepare HAZMAT and other documents for Import//Export operation in a timely manner with appropriate procedures and guidelines
2. Execute processing of shipments through SAP and TMS systems
3. Update and maintain customer data in SAP & TMS to ensure accuracy at all times.
4. Communicate with Logistics Customer Service-Schedule Management to provide updates pertinent to customer orders.
5. Monito contracts, inventory, pricing, order quantities, batch sizes, delivery packaging, and payment as well as implementing other agreements in accordance with senior management expectations.
6. Communicate with shipping companies, truckers and other vendors, and arrange pick-up and delivery. Arrange for domestic railway/trucking shipping.
7. Understanding of customs clearance – Calculate values of duties for various products/goods on a global level.
8. Inspecting and auditing facilities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
9. Investigating and reporting incidents involving dangerous goods.
10. Providing guidance and support to staff on the safe handling and disposal of hazardous material.
11. Keeping update with changes in regulations and industry best practices.
12. Order coordination for 3PL warehouse.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with regular office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours may vary on occasion depending on work load.

Required Qualifications
1. Must have an Associate’s or higher degree (Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Occupational Health and Safety or Science related major is preferred)
2. Trading and/or Manufacturing industry experience- (Internships acceptable)
3. Strong proficiency in MS Office
4. Accuracy and attention to detail
5. Situational awareness
6. Organizational skills
7. Entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree
2. SAP experience or and ERP experience.
3. TMS experience
4. Multi-lingual
5. Incoterm understanding.
6. Interest in various software applications
