This is a full time, onsite position based in our Othello, WA office. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, hours may occasionally vary depending on business needs and workload
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is part of the Sales department. Receives and processes customer orders and issues releases. The CSR releases the shipment and creates documents for the transport and export of goods from SVZ-USA or external warehouses to customers or other SVZ locations according to the SVZ procedure and guidelines. Supports account manager(s) with assigned accounts, as required, to provide excellence customer service.
Your Responsibilities:
- Prepare and organize all documents required for transport and export of goods by preparing product releases to storage facilities and trucking companies and organize all other shipping documents.
- Coordinate and assist to schedule outbound shipments of product.
- Monitor all shipments to ensure proper delivery to customers.
- Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of outgoing shipments
- Build and maintain strong working relationship with transportation and warehouse partners.
- Coordinate with warehouse and transportation partners on all pertinent shipping documents to facilitate invoicing process
- Prepare documents, such as bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
- Provide the necessary communication between the customer and internal colleagues of the departments concerned.
- Set up and maintain customer data in SAP
- Initiate, track, and report on shipments between our US and global locations
- Assist Account Manager(s) to provide excellent level of customer service to assigned accounts as well as back up for other Customer Service Representative as needed.
- Any other tasks assigned by management in order to assist in meeting company objectives.
Pay Range - $22 - $29 per hour
The compensation range provided reflects the expected base compensation only and does not include potential bonuses, incentive plans, or benefits. An individual’s final compensation offer will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to education level, relevant experience, training, and geographic location.
Your Profile:
- High school diploma/ GED. Associate’s degree in business, marketing or a related field preferred
- Administrative experience
- Experience communicating directly with customers
- Experience with transport documents and billing
- Knowledge of principles and methods for moving goods by air, rail, sea or road, including the relative cost benefits strongly preferred
