Your role

  • You contribute the sourcing strategy for Global transportation (e.g. Sea, Air and Parcel Services) as well as for external warehouses
  • You analyze, monitor and evaluate the procurement markets for this material group/category
  • You are responsible for the entire supplier management (tenders, contract development and negotiations, consolidation, analysis,...)
  • You monitor and evaluate outsourcing opportunities while ensuring possible cost savings targets
  • You are the contact person for escalations and root cause analyses
  • You take care of the creation and management of supplier-related master data and price information in the relevant systems (e.g. SAP Ariba)
  • Close cooperation with our main stakeholder in Group Logistics is very important for your role

 

Your profile

  • You have a degree in business administration, logistics/forwarding or comparable
  • You have at least 3-5 years of professional experience in purchasing, preferably in food logistics or similar, and have an understanding of how logistical processes work
  • Logistics/Forwarding Knowledge and background is very important for this role.
  • You are a team player with strong negotiating skills and an affinity for numbers, a determined and convincing personality and strong analytical skills
  • You will interface with the global sourcing team and assist with topics and activities related to transportation management and freight spend, including tenders and service provider benchmarking
  • You have in-depth SAP knowledge in SAP R/3 or S/4HANA (MM ideally knowledge in SAP TM)
  • Your working language is English, knowledge of German is an advantage
