Your role

• You ensure that Group-wide customs and foreign trade processes comply with all relevant legal requirements
• As an expert in your field, you will advise the plants on all matters relating to customs, foreign trade and excise tax law
• You are responsible for tax declarations, applications for relief and refunds for electricity and energy tax for the German production sites and support tax supervision measures and external audits by the customs administration 
• You will further develop Group-wide KPI reporting in the customs area and the internal control system (ICS)
• You create internal work and organizational instructions as well as training materials and conduct internal training courses
• You identify customs risks and potential savings and work on optimizations to potentially reduce customs duties
• You support the plants in applying for and maintaining customs authorizations, e.g. AEO monitoring
• You continuously develop internal processes, taking into account current customs and excise legislation
• You will work on projects to further automate processes in the area of customs, foreign trade and excise tax law, e.g. preference calculation or tax warehouse processing

Your profile

• You have sound experience in customs, ideally in an international environment or in the food industry
• You have successfully completed a degree in law or economics, e.g. with a focus on tax law or a degree in finance (FH)
• You have knowledge of customs and foreign trade law, ideally you have knowledge of European excise tax law
• You have worked successfully in projects and are experienced with IT applications, ideally in the SAP environment
• You are experience with global trade management software and systems
• You quickly understand complex interrelationships, your working style is proactive and analytical
• With your open way of communicating, you know how to proactively contribute and convince with suggestions
• Your working languages are German and English
