For our growing R&D Excellence team we are looking for a “Senior Manager R&D Excellence”. The global team drives operational excellence with a specific emphasis on digital processes and technologies and drives the organizational evolution of our R&D. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of R&D methodologies, digital tools, and emerging technologies to optimize our innovation processes and drive efficiency.
Your Role
- Digital Excellence Leadership: Lead the development and implementation of digital excellence strategies within the R&D department, aligning with overall business objectives
- Process Excellence: Define the overall R&D process landscape. Identify opportunities for streamlining R&D processes through the adoption of digital tools, automation, and data analytics
- Technology Integration: Evaluate and integrate new digital technologies and platforms into R&D workflows to enhance productivity and innovation
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and product management, to ensure seamless integration of digital solutions across the organization
- Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to R&D efficiency, quality, and innovation, leveraging digital analytics and reporting tools
- Training and Development: Develop training programs and resources to upskill R&D teams in digital tools and methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Change Management: Lead change management initiatives to drive adoption of digital tools and processes within the R&D department, addressing challenges and resistance effectively
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with digital initiatives, proactively addressing security, privacy, and regulatory concerns
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business studies or any related technical field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 5+ years experience in a management role within R&D or innovation management, with a focus on digital excellence
- Deep understanding of R&D methodologies, processes, and best practices
- Strong technical proficiency in digital tools and platforms relevant to R&D, simulation tools, data analytics, and project management systems
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams
- Proven track record of driving process improvement and operational excellence initiatives
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable digital strategies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Experience with change management, training, and organizational development initiatives
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to R&D activities
