Head of Logistics Cluster - Döhler Group

Fulltime

Within this function you'll be responsible for the tactical and strategic logistic agenda within the Cluster, which includes but is not limited to; Setting up West European Logistic Hub for flows of several factories, implementing SAP EWM across various production sites, optimizing intra plant and intra warehouse logistics and driving further automation within logistics and warehousing (AGV, Automated picking and packing).

Under your supervision will be a total goods flow of more than 100.000 transports yearly in & out, 120.000mt of storage divided in over 15.000 SKU's and 8 countries. You'll have a strong relation with local Logistic Managers and with the Group

Logistics Team. Together with them you'll be driving standardization and implementing best practices throughout the plants within the cluster and therefore we're looking for someone with a strong personality, good communication skills and experience in change management and rollout of large projects. As Doehler is key partner of SAP and thrives to be at the forefront of innovation, having expert knowledge on SAP logistic modules like EWM is an absolute must.

Your role

• You drive standardization and automation agendas together with the Logistic Managers of the local plants, the Cluster team and Doehler Group Logistics
• You stimulate the digital transformation in your area of responsibility and implement and roll-out the use of new and existing technologies, under which SAP Transport Management, SAP EWM and SAP Logistics Business Network
• You are responsible for defining and supporting the setup of the Logistic organizational structure for the Cluster and affiliated plants
• You lead large logistic projects and are responsible for the deliverables within the allotted time and budget.
• You coordinate logistic tenders together with Doehler Group Logistics
• You steer on logistical performance KPIs within the cluster and support plants in achieving their targets

Your profile

• You have a completed HBO/WO education - Bachelor/Master's degree in Operational Management and Logistics
• You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience and experience with multi-site logistics coordination
• You are a leader, with an energetic personality, and also have leadership experience within a B2B logistics environment, preferably in the food or beverage industry
• You have experience in creating strategic and tactical plans in logistics and implementing them effectively
• You have demonstrable knowledge of the freight forwarding sector (transport, shipping, customs and all related documents, processes and systems) and the warehousing sector
• You enjoy working in a fast-paced, results-oriented culture
• You have experience with the implementation of especially SAP-based technologies such as SAP Transport Management and SAP EWM
• You have excellent communication skills and a good command of the English language
