Sample Lab Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective 
The Sample Lab Technician is responsible for producing faultless and high-quality samples and compound mixtures in accordance with R&D and customer specifications.  
Essential Functions

1.    Adhere to the approved budget and introduce suitable measures to counteract potential and actual deviations in consultation with the manager. 
2.    Stimulate continuous standardization and optimization of processes and organizational structures and implement corresponding measures in consultation with the manager. 
3.    Ensure an optimum exchange of information within the division and with the interfaces. 
4.    Document efficient and effective processes in the company's internal IT systems. 
5.    Compounding specific flavor recipes and produce samples 
6.    Homogenize, pasteurize, carbonize, fill and package samples and compound mixtures by operating the corresponding production facilities. 
7.    Taste developed products. 
8.    Sample and carrying out quality checks in terms of sensory properties and in accordance with chemical and physical specifications (e.g. Brix, acidity, pH value). 
9.    When a complaint is received, support the manager/team in conducting error analysis and creating a new sample. 
10.    Execute stock takes and stock adjustment postings if necessary. 
11.    Implement in-house and statutory specifications and guidelines on hygiene, HACCP, food safety, occupational safety and environmental protection.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally exposed to wet, warm, humid and cold temperatures. Located in our North Brunswick, NJ location and it is an onsite role.

Required Qualifications 
1.    Proficient in Microsoft office – word, excel, and outlook 
2.    Ability to multitask lab assignments

Preferred Qualifications 
1.    College degree desirable
2.    Apprenticeship as a food technology specialist, chemical technician, pharmacy technician or similar
